Melanotan II is a synthetic analogue of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone. It acts at the melanocortin receptors to drive melanin production directly, which is why the same pigmentation result needs a fraction of the UV exposure.

One 20mg vial. Its melanocortin activity is not confined to pigmentation — the libido effect people report is the same receptor family, not a separate mechanism.

Subcutaneous. A loading period followed by maintenance dosing is the usual shape, and existing moles should be checked before starting rather than after.

Nausea and facial flushing on the first few doses are common and dose-dependent.

Ships lyophilised — 1 × lyophilised vial. Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water, adding it down the side of the vial rather than directly onto the powder, and swirl. Never shake: agitation shears the peptide and you cannot see it happen.

Refrigerate at 2–8°C once mixed, and store unopened vials sealed at -20°C. Stability once reconstituted is measured in weeks, not months — label the vial with the date you opened it.
